Highlights of the May 19-22 UKC SHOW in Perry, Georgia

What a great weekend at the Perry, Georgia UKC show, despite the swine flu scare afterwards. We had such an enjoyable time meeting some amazing new poodle people and the first trip with the RV was a success. It sure made things more convenient and comfy. Chris was driving Captain, got us all there safely, and did great with hookups and setting up. We are still learning so expect it to get even better.  Was nice having a place for Nic to groom right off the back of the RV.

Taylor did fabulous and got a Best in Show and a Reserve Best in Show! Gracie won two reserve champions. LaBelle won her Grand Champion Classes. Bacardi stepped up and won Champions class, Best of Breed and a Group 3. An all around great long weekend. While we were there we got news that

I can’t even express how nice the venue was for showing in Perry. Nice enough that we will be heading there again in September. 🙂

Norman, OK UKC Show April 29-30 – Taylor Won Best of Breed!

The Norman show was fabulous! Of the three shows, Taylor was blessed with winning Best of Breed in all three, a Best In Show, Group 2 and Group 3. LaBelle won Best of Breed in two of the shows and a Group 2. The weekend was made even more exciting by the awful storms everywhere around us dropping baseball sized hail. We had taken my new Sequoia, and spent the night Saturday anxiously watching for hail and hoping it didn’t dent the new SUV.

Denton, Texas UKC Show March 11-12th

The Denton Show was great fun and very successful for Chris and the poodles. Of the three shows, Taylor won standard poodle Best of Breed in two. Bacardi won Multicolor Standard Poodle BOB in one and went on to group. LaBelle won Multicolor Standard Poodle BOB in two and placed in group both shows. Many thanks to Nic and Austin for helping Chris in my absence. I am still not mobile yet after my surgery.

Huddled Around A Heater with Poodles- UKC Show December 9-11, Marshall, Texas

I just received LaBelle’s Grand Champion certificate, and I am so proud of her! She definitely earned her Grand the hard way.  She finished her Championship and started working on her Grand Championship at Gateway Nationals, in October, with all the gorgeous poodle competition there. Then she finished it up at Marshall in December at the coldest show we have attended in a really long time. Team Texas were all huddled around a heater with jackets and blankets on!  Even in the cold, she performed like a champ, as did Misty Ann, who was nice enough to handle her for me that weekend. Our next show is coming up at Haughton, Louisiana, February 18-19. We are really looking forward to getting the girls and Bacardi back in the ring. Chris has been working with them, and he is confident and ready to work on the last two legs of Grace’s grand championship. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! This will be my last show before my much needed foot surgery. Looking forward to doing more than hobbling around this year. 🙂
